Pada kesempatan ini kita akan membahas materi tentang bagaimana menyajikan berita sebagai newsreader atau news presenter atau newscaster. Newsreader merupakan orang yang menyajikan berita pada tayangan program berita di televisi, radio atau internet. Penyaji berita ini kadang juga merangkap kerja sebagai jurnalis yang membantu mengumpulkan bahan berita dan bahkan memberi komentar selama tayangan. Newsreader paling sering bekerja dari studio televisi atau radio namun kadang menyajikan warta dari lokasi terpencil jika ada peristiwa besar.
Adapun langkah-langkah penyajian sebagai newsreader adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Introduction (Perkenalan)
Berikut ekspresinya:
- Hello there welcome to Newsline, it’s (insert date and time). I’m (insert the newsreader name).
- Welcome to (insert the name of the news) this is the late-night edition. I’m (insert the newsreader name).
- Good evening/good morning/good afternoon and welcome to (insert the name of the news). this is (insert the newsreader name).
- Good morning, I’m (insert 1st newsreader name) and I’m (insert 2nd newsreader name) welcome to the “world news” bringing you the eye on the news for Monday, 20 June 2021.
- Contoh lain:
TV Presenter:Hello and welcome to the __________ News. My name is ___________ .Our story today is about ___________ . We are going to be investigating where ________ comes from, how it is grown and then how it gets here.Shortly we will be going live to our reporter in __________ . Let’s look at a map and see where that actually is. Our story today is about the earthquake in Lombok that has afflicted the people since early August. Numerous earthquakes are still following until today, destroying more and more villages. We are going to see how the current condition is after the latest earthquake and how people deal with the situation. Shortly we will be going live to our reporter in the area. I’m connecting to Abimanyu who is now in Lombok.

Good evening, people.
Back with me, Sandra Liem in Great News. This time we will be delivering the news of traffic jam which often becomes a major problem for big cities in Indonesia, including the capital city, Jakarta. On a typical day the volume of vehicles is increasing, especially during the long weekend. The congestion occurs in many parts of Jakarta, and Kota Kasablanka has it worst.
The congestion is also followed by heavy rain that flushes the area and the surroundings starting from this afternoon at 4 p.m. that affects the congestion to get worse. Big rain also falls in the west part of Jakarta and already causes flood. It’s flooded to a height of 30 cm and disrupts the road users. It can be dangerous especially for motorcycle riders. The police officers are going down to help with the traffic.
